Forgive Us - A Poem

Forgive Us

Its vast blue beauty splattered with pureness
Its glorious fountains spreading brightness
Its calming howls, its lovely echoes
It is beauty and its beauty defines it
Such magnificence!

Its blue-green silk flowing, drifting lightly
Its greens breathes of life and security
Its soothing glow, its quiet shout, serenity
It is life and life is it, the circle defines it
Such fascination!

Destruction, chaos, annihilation
Despair, fear, panic, agitation
Its red body perfected with yellow spikes
It brings terror, it brings destruction
Such horridness!

Warmth, happiness, calmness
Safety, shelter, security, home
It dances with its yellow partners
Its bright red body is a source
Such amazement!

Ah, life!
If only we knew how to appreciate it
If only we knew the beauty of it
Perhaps it might comfort us
Perhaps, perhaps.

Ah, God!
Let thy tears wash our tainted lands
Let thy pureness cleanse us.
Let thou be our guide, our way of life
Forgive us, our sins unto thee.

Forgive us, forgive us
We art only human
Forgive us, relent thy rage
Our sins art sad and unforgiving
Even so, forgive us.

-by Jaclyn

What have we done to our dear earth? What has our earth done to deserve such hostility, such damage? Are we sinners? Can we be forgiven?
Let us hope, one day, we will change our ways and one day, God will forgive our sins.
We are wrong, have we not damaged the earth enough? Why do we keep hurting her?
If you want to help, you will change. You will change so that you will be able to help. To help our dear earth. Maybe not so, but you will help others and others will help you.

Blog..

Yeah, it's about 11AM, the sun's out. (Hello, Mr Sun) and the day is nice and sunny... Note: it's 27 March - Sport's Day

As a blogger, I feel that I should explain myself a little. Let's talk about today. What about today?
It's Sport's Day! Hello??!! Anyway, I am a fellow Marching Band member, therefore, us "Banders" have a show to put on. Obviously, we have to march (DUH). So we had a few practices during the holidays and one full practice during school hours. I guess it was worth it. But now my legs are sore, and they need some rest.

Our performance ended not long a ago. I think... About  one and a half hours from now?? Yeah, so, Sport's Day's not over yet... It's still running. But I'm back home, resting my poor worn out feet.

Nothing else that I have to say here, so bye. Have a good weekend!!

A Poem For My Dad

How long has it been since my last post? A few weeks, I think...
Well, apologies...
Actually, I have a poem I want to post up here, I post it up in a few moments...

Hold on...

It's coming....

...

......

It's here!!!

Watch out!!!!!

Happy Birthday!

It’s been so long since your last birthday
For long is so, and so is today
How ought I not remember
I have not been in  a fender-bender

I trust, that you, remember as well
That would be true, it’d be swell
For thoughts like mine linger
And I know you like rice with ginger

Today’s the day you age again
Fear not, my father, you are still young
Peace at heart, a song once sung
Not much from me you’d gain

Still, a poem has its story, and I hope
You find it soon because when the clock
Strikes twelve, the ship leaves the dock
And today forgotten, washed with soap

This poem is a first for a gift I guess
Maybe quite so, but it will kill stress
Alas, two simple words I have to say
To you, I wish a “Happy Birthday!”

Yup, so there it is, my poem :D

Yes, it's a birthday poem.
Today's my Dad's birthday (24 March) so I'm gonna print this out and give it to him, cause I have no idea what to get him. Then "BOOM!!" A POEM!!! DUH!!! So I got working on it.

Literature in English

Yeah, judging by my unusual attitude, I guess I would do something crazy. And yes, I'm taking Literature in English as one of my SPM subjects despite the 10 I already have. See, I just want some experience in this industry. And so, I just followed my instincts for once and chose this subject as an elective. Don't call me stupid or crazy. Wait, well, yeah, you can call me crazy, I'm a little off at times, so, yeah.

Anyway, I'm having a major problem here: I CAN'T ATTAIN THE SHORT STORIES!!!!
HELP ME!!!
Well, see, in this particular subject, we have three themes for poems, six poems each. Three novels, three dramas, and duh, five short stories. The big problem here is, I don't know where to get the short stories!!! I'm okay with the poems, novels and drama, I've found them already. But I tried looking high and low for the short stories and not one effing bookstore has them!!! Damn was I pissed with that donkey head manager at one of the bookstores. She was all so "I don't know what you mean, I know what my job is, We don't have it, What do you mean subject? We only have... BLAH-BLAH-BLAH and all the cow faeces. (Of course, if you're smart enough, you'd be able to decipher what I'm saying here.) Eff them donkeys... Grr....

Anyway, I am serious, I HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM. NO JOKE.  I am desperate for the short stories!!! If anybody who could be so kind with helping me find the short stories, I'd deeply appreciate it. So please please please... I really need help here...

Here is my short story list:
-Naukar (Anya Sitaram)
-The Landlady (Roald Dahl)
-Neighbours (Robert Raymer)
-Cinderella Girl (Vivien Alcock)
-Harison Bergeron (Kurt Vonnegut Jr)

If anybody finds it, please just drop me a comment or leave me a message @ jiatheng_23@hotmail.com
I'd really really really appreciate it.. Thanks soo much

The Black Eagle : Coincidence

Ringggg!!!! Her alarm was ringing at seven thirty. She yawned.
Hmm... Did I not sleep well last night? I fell awfully tired. And she yawned again. This time, almost falling back to sleep. Until...
Hey, kiddo! You've got school today!
"Huh? Oh yeah, my conscience..."
Don't tell me you forgot about me!
"Yeah, whatever" She yawned and headed to the small bathroom to freshen up.

"Dina!" Trisha waved frantically to catch her best friend's attention in the hallway and she succeeded. Dina smiled acknowledging.
"Trish, what's new?"
"Didn't you hear? A woman died on Flinch Street! You use that street all the time! The police haven't found any evidence yet! You can't go home today! The murderer might get you! You have to come sleepover at my place!" Trisha exclaimed.
Confused, Dina said, "Wait, who died? Wait, is this a scheme to make me go to one of your slumber parties? I told you I have my goldfish to attend to. She hates it when she's not fed."
"Aww... You saw me through..." Trisha said disappointedly. "Whatever, let's get to class."
Flinch Street... That's where I live... Did somebody die there?
Shut up, kid. You've got English class with Hades.
You should shut up when I'm in school.
Hey hey hey, I was the one who raised you. Don't you talk like that to me.
You sound like a nagging mother.
Head to class, kid. Or you'll get a detention slip.
Dina headed to class absent-mindedly.

Lunch break, in the cafeteria...
Whispers floated everywhere. All the fresh gossip shooting at all directions.
"Did you hear? Somebody got killed!"
"Yeah, my dad found the body this morning."
"My mom heard that the body was so cut up, you couldn't tell the gender."
"I heard from my neighbour that it was a woman."
Murmurs across the large room caught Dina's attention. Didn't Trish tell me that this morning? Whatever, guess it was just coincidence... But then she heard something that almost made her drop her tray of food, "Flinch Street. The body was found on Flinch Street."
No way...
